Pametria Brown is a woman of many talents and hats. Known to most as Pam, she has made a name for herself throughout the Mid-South as an award winning event organizer. Ms. Brown is a native Memphian and proud alumni of Whitehaven High and The University of Memphis. As a young child she was raised to take pride in her culture and encouraged to let her voice be heard. She began working as a television and event host in 2010 for local fashion shows and NStyle television.

In 2011 she branched out and started her own company that produces shows as well as coaches others on how to execute unique events. Her company, RBG Productions, Inc. (Representing Brown Girls) presents culturally enhancing events that bring awareness in the African American community. Such events include: Loving My Mirror, Melanin on Fleek, Little Miss Natural Cutie and the Miss Teen Natural Scholarship Pageant.

Her most popular event is the Natural Cutie of the Year, a competition for women with natural hair, which was actually the first natural hair pageant in the Mid-South. This event coincides with Pam’s overall message of building confidence and self esteem in the community. So it was no surprise that Pam decided to write a book geared to encourage young girls to love themselves in a time when so many negative images are promoted on a daily basis. Whether she is writing books, producing events, or hosting self help workshops, Ms. Brown brings high energy, creativity, dedication, and a spirit that can not be denied. It’s no wonder she was named the Tri-State Defenders 2013 Best in Black “Hustle” Award.

Be your own kind of beautiful!
